Political theory and philosophy

The subject of the Master’s Degree is the field of Political Theory throughout its scope, with emphasis on the historical evolution of theoretical political thought and the systematic realization of the fields of political theory and philosophy, as well as the political phenomenon in its theoretical and political aspects.



At the MSc are accepted postgraduate students degree holders of the first degree courses of Universities (Universities and Technological Educational Institutions) of the domestic and recognized foreign Institutions.

Number of entries​

The number of admissions to the MSc a maximum of fifteen (15) postgraduate students per year.


The minimum duration of study for the Postgraduate Diploma of Specialization is set at three (3) semesters. Completion of the postgraduate thesis requires at least one quarter after the completion of the first two semesters.

Course structure​

For the acquisition of the MSc, the postgraduate students are required to complete ninety (90) ECTS credits.

Purpose of the MSc it is the provision of specialized in-depth studies in the above subjects and disciplines of political science, the training of scientists for the needs of political research in these fields, as well as for the needs of education.
